(iv) पारंपिरक जल िनकाय(cid:7298) का नवीकरण, िजसके अंतगर्त िसचाई तालाब(cid:7298) और अन् य जल िनकाय(cid:7298) से गाद
िनकालना तथा पुराने सीढ़ीदार कुं(cid:7312) या बाविडय(cid:7298) का संरक्षण ह ै;

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th March, 2017
S.O. 973(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29 of the Mahatma
Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, hereby makes the
following further amendments in Schedule I to the said Act, namely :—
In the said Act, in Schedule I, in paragraph 4, in sub-paragraph (I), –
(a) in item (I), for sub-item (iv), the following sub-item shall be substituted, namely:—
(iv) renovation of traditional water bodies including desilting of irrigation tanks and other
water bodies and conservation of old step wells or baolis;
(b) in item (iv), for sub-item (iii), the following sub-item shall be substituted, namely:—
(iii) construction of play fields and compound walls for Government run schools in the
villages.
