S.O. 424(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 46 of the
Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement
Act, 2013 (No. 30 of 2013), the Central Government, hereby, notifies that the limit of extent of land
referred to in sub-section (1) of section 46 of the said Act shall be 20 (twenty) hectares in urban areas
and 40 (forty) hectares in rural areas.

Central Government, hereby, notifies that in case of rural areas, the factor by which the market value
is to be multiplied shall be 2.00 (two).
