S.O. 4084(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 5 read with Sub-section (1)
of Section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956), the Central Government hereby appoints
Prof. Dhirendra Pal Singh, Director, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru as Chairman,
University Grants Commission in the scale of pay of Rs.2,25,000/- (Level-17 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC) with
effect from 1st January, 2018, for a period of five years or until he attains the age of 65 years or until further orders,
whichever is the earliest.
