NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 9th October, 2017
G.S.R. 1269(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the provisio to article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute Commissioner, Group
‘C’ Posts Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute
Commissioner, Group ‘C’ Posts Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute Commissioner, Group ‘C’ Posts Recruitment Rules, 2015
(hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:—
“3. Number of posts, classification, level in the pay matrix or pay scale. – The number of posts, their
classification, level in the pay matrix or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2 ) to (4)
of the said Schedule.”.
3. In the said rules, in the Schedule,—
(i) in serial number 1, against the post of ‘Stenographer’,—
(a) in column (4),—
(A) for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely:—
“Level in the pay matrix or pay scale.”;
(B) for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted , namely:—
“Level 4 in the pay matrix Rs. 25500-81100.”;
(ii) in serial number 2, against the post of ‘Upper Division Clerk’,—
(a) in column (4), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted , namely:—
“Level 4 in the pay matrix Rs. 25500-81100.”;
(b) in column (11), under the sub-heading ‘Promotion’, for the words, letters and figures “having grade
pay of Rs. 1900/—”, the words, figures and letters “in level 2 in pay matrix Rs. 19900-63200.” shall
be substituted;
(iii) in serial number 3, against the post of ‘Lower Division Clerk’,—
(a) in column (4), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:—
“Level 2 in the pay matrix Rs. 19900-63200.”;
(b) in column (10),
(A) in sub-item (ii), for the words, letters and figures “the grade pay of Rs.1800”, the words

(b) in column (11), under the sub-heading ‘Deputation/ Absorption’, for the words, figures and letters “in
the pay band -1, Rs. 5200-20,200/— grade pay of Rs. 1800”, wherever they occur, the words, figures
and letters “in level 1 in the pay matrix Rs.18000-56900” shall be substituted;
(v) in serial number 5, against the post of ‘Staff Car Driver (Grade-II)’,—
(a) in column (4), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted , namely:—
“Level 4 in the pay matrix Rs. 25500-81100.”;
(b) in column (11), under the sub-heading ‘Promotion’, for the words, letters and figures “in pay band —
1, Rs. 5200-20,200/— plus grade pay of Rs. 1900”, the words, letters and figures “in level 2 in the pay
matrix Rs. 19900-63200” shall be substituted;
(vi) in serial number 6, against the post of ‘Multi-Tasking Staff’,—
(a) in column (4), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted , namely:—
