No. F.2/178/99/TE/AD/1276.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India read with Government of India, Ministry of Home affairs notification No. F24/78/68-DH (S) dated the 24th September, 1968 and in supersession of notification No. F.5/32/97/TE/AD/1245 dated the 21st February, 2000 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi, with the prior approval of the Union Public Service Commission, is pleased to frame the following recruitment rules, regarding the method of recruitment to the post of Head of Department (Science and Humanities) under the Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely:—[Hkkx IV fnYyh jkti= % vlk/kkj.k 5 1. Short title and commencement: - (1) These rules may be called the Head of Department (Science and Humanities) Recruitment Rules, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number of posts, classification and pay band and grade pay: - The number of posts, their classification and pay band and grade pay attached thereto, shall be as specified in column no. 2 to 4 of the Schedule attached thereto. 3. Method of Recruitment, Age limit and other qualification: - The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in column no. 5 to 13 of the said Schedule. 4. Disqualifications: No person,- (a) Who has entered or contracted marriage with the person having a spouse living, or (b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts: Provided that Government may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 5. Power to relax - Whether the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, and consultation with Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provision of these rules with respect to any class or category of person. 6.
