NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 14th March, 2018
No. F. 18(7)/2009/DWCD/Estt./53090-53100.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article
309 of the Constitution read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. F. 27(59)/Him.(i),
dated the 13th July, 1959, the Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following
amendment in the Notification No. F. 18(7)/2009/DWCD/Estt./32833, dated 12th January, 2017 containing the rules
regarding the method of recruitment and qualifications necessary for appointment to the post of Welfare
Officer/Probation Officer/Prison Welfare Officer in the Department of Social Welfare/Women and Child Development,
Government of National Territory of Delhi, namely:-
Short Title and Commencement:—(i) These rules may be called the Department of Social Welfare/Women
and Child Development Department, Welfare Officer/Probation Officer/ Prison Welfare Officer (Amendment)
Recruitment Rules, 2018.
(ii) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
In the schedule annexed to the said Notification for the existing entry under Column No. 9 (Period of
Probation, if any) the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“(9) Period of Two Years for Direct Recruits and promotes
Probation, if any Note: Successful mandatory induction training of at least two weeks for Direct Recruits as part
of probation in the field of duties and responsibilities of the post from Union Territory Civil
Service/National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development”.
