This notification, G.S.R. 559(E), issued by the Ministry of Textiles, amends the Recruitment Rules of 2015 for the Assistant Director Grade-I (Non-Technical), Group A post within the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms. The amendment, made by the President in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, modifies column 11 of the Schedule concerning "Deputation including short term contract." Specifically, it broadens the eligibility for deputation to include "Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territories," replacing the previous wording which only included "Officers of the Central Government of Union territories." These rules, called the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Assistant Director GradeI NonTechnical, GroupA Post, Recruitment Amendment Rules, 2016, take effect on the date of publication in the Official Gazette (May 30, 2016). G.S.R. 559(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the
Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the
Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Assistant Director Grade-I (Non-Technical), Group ‘A’ post,
Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely: —
1. Short title and Commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Textiles, Office of
the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Assistant Director Grade-I (Non-Technical), Group-‘A’ Post,
Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2016.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Assistant
Director Grade-I (Non-Technical), Group – ‘A’ post, Recruitment Rules, 2015, in the Schedule, in column 11,
under the heading “Deputation (including short term contract)”, for the words, “Officers of the Central
Government of Union territories”, the words “Officers of the Central Government or State Government or
Union territories” shall be substituted.
