New Delhi, the 6th September, 2018
G.S.R. 916(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution,
the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute
Commissioner, Deputy Director (Marketing) and Assistant Director (Marketing) (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Posts)
Recruitment Rules, 2017, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute Commissioner Deputy
Director (Marketing) and Assistant Director (Marketing) (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Posts) Recruitment
(Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Jute Commissioner Deputy Director (Marketing) and Assistant
Director (Marketing) (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2017, in the Schedule, against serial
number 1 relating to the post of Deputy Director (Marketing),-
(i) in column (10), for the words and brackets “By composite method: Deputation (including short-term
contract) or promotion” the words and brackets “By composite method: Deputation (including short-
term contract)/promotion” shall be substituted;
(ii) in column (11),-
A. for the words and brackets “Deputation (including short-term contract) or promotion:” the words
and brackets “Deputation (including short-term contract)/promotion” shall be substituted;
B. in clause (b), for the words “possessing the following educational qualifications and experience,
namely:-” the words “possessing the following essential educational qualifications and
experience:” shall be substituted;
C. in Note 1, for the words, brackets, figures and letters “The departmental Assistant Director
(Marketing) in level 10 in the pay matrix Rs. 56100-177500 with five years of regular service in
the grade and shall be considered alongwith outsiders”, the words, brackets, figures and letters
“The departmental Assistant Director (Marketing) in level 10 in the pay matrix Rs. 56100-
177500 with five years of regular service in the grade and having the essential educational
qualifications and experience prescribed for deputationists shall be considered alongwith
outsiders” shall be substituted.
