In exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso to sub clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub section (I) and sub section(2) of Section 3 of the Delhi Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1962 (57 of 1962)
This notification, issued by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on September 16, 2015, increases the motor vehicle tax for private vehicles registered in the name of companies and firms. Effective immediately, an additional tax of twenty-five percent of the existing rates will be levied on these vehicles, excluding those registered to individuals. For diesel-powered private vehicles registered to companies and firms, this additional tax will be calculated on top of the tax levied as per notification No. F.1952Tpt.Sectt.2010180 dated September 29, 2011. No. F.1(2)(3)/AcettsfRev./2015-16/217.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso to sub-
clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Delhi Motor Vehicles Taxation Act,
1962 (57 of 1962) and in continuation of notification No. F.19(52)/Tpt./Sectt./2010/180 dated 29th September, 2011,
the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby increase, with immediate effect, the rates of
tax to be levied upon a motor vehicle described in column (1) of Part B of Schedule-I by an additional amount of
twenty-five per cent of the existing rates or the amount, as the case may be, for the private motor vehicles registered in
the name of companies and firms except the motor vehicles registered in the name of an individual.
It is further provided that in case of private motor vehicles registered in the name of companies and firms and propelled
by the diesel fuel, the above amount shall be calculated over and above the amount of tax levied vide notification
No. F.19(52)/Tpt./Sectt./2010/180 dated 29th September, 2011.
