NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 21st July, 2016
No. F.5(245)/Lit./15/DS2law/2785-2796.— In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section
(7) of section 2 of Code of Civil Procedure, (5 of 1908) and all other powers in this behalf, the Government
of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to appoint Sh. Tarunvir Singh Khehar as Government
Pleader / Additional Standing Counsel (Civil) for the High Court of Delhi in relation to any suit, writ
petition, appeal or other proceeding by or against the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and
/ or Union of India in relation to the affairs of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and / or public
officer(s) whose defence has been undertaken by it.
2. This appointment shall be subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed from time to
time.
3. This notification is in continuation to this Government’s notifications No. F.5(245)/Lit./2015/
DS2Law/1420-1429 dated 01.05.2015, F.5(245)/Lit./2015/ DS2Law/2277-2289 dated 24.06.2016
and F.5(245)/Lit./2015/ DS2Law/2404-2419 dated 30.06.2016
4. Sh. Tarunvir Singh Khehar will also continue to work as Standing Counsel (NGT).
5. No additional retainership/secretarial assistance shall be provided to Sh. Tarunvir Singh Khehar for
the post of Additional Standing Counsel (Civil) in Delhi High Court.
6. This notification shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further
orders.
7. This issues with the approval of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister.
