No. A-12023(1)/15/2016-Admn. III (LA).—In partial modification of the Government of India, Ministry of
Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs’ Notification No. A-12023(1)/15/2016-Admn. III (LA) dated the
17th February, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 252
of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government is pleased to appoint Shri G. D. Agrawal,
Vice-President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal as President of the Tribunal in officiating capacity for a period of
six months w.e.f. 18.02.2017 or till a regular incumbent is appointed to the post, or until further orders, whichever is the
earliest.
