NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th April, 2017
S.O. 1364(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and
other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, the Central Government, hereby makes the following amendments in
the notification of Government of India in the Ministry of Rural Development, published in the Gazette of India
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O 19 (E) dated 4th January,2017, namely :-
1. In the said notification,-
(a) in paragraph1, in sub-paragraph (2), for the words, figures and letters “by 31st March, 2017”, the words, figures
and letters “by 30th September, 2017” shall be substituted;
(b) in paragraph 2, in sub-paragraph (2), for the words, figures and letters “by 31st March, 2017”, the words, figures
and letters “by 30th September, 2017” shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2017

Explanatory Memorandum
In the notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide
notification number S.O 19 (E), dated the 4th January, 2017, it has been required that any individual registered under the
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005, who had not yet enrolled for Aadhar shall have to
apply for Aadhar enrolment by 31st March, 2017. It is certified that no person will be adversely affected by the
retrospective effect being given to the amendment notification.

vide notification number S.O. 19(E), dated the 4th January, 2017.
