dated 28.04.2017 and in terms of Section 5(1) and Section 19(1) of the Right to Information

2. The Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) shall deal with requests from persons seeking information and
render reasonable assistance to the persons seeking such information. The CPIOs may seek the assistance of any other
officers as may be considered necessary for the proper discharge of duties. Any officer whose assistance has been sought
under the above mentioned Act, such officer shall be treated as Central PIOs under Section 5(5) of the Right to
Information Act, 2005.
3. As per Section 6(3)(i) & (ii) in case such information sought pertains to some other public authority(s), the CPIOs
may send it to concerned public authority/applicant directly.
4. The CPIOs are to maintain the details regarding the number of requests received and action taken so as to ensure
compliance with the various provisions particularly Section 25 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
