No. 9/82/2019-HG/715-728.—In the exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Delhi Prison Act, 2000 ( Delhi Act 2 of 2002), the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as per approval of Hon’ble Minister (Home), makes the following rules to amend the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Prisons (Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Amendment of Rule 1322 (II):- In the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018, for sub rule (II) of rule 1322, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “II. “Have been convicted for offences such as dacoity with murder, terrorist crimes, kidnapping with murder, rape with murder, smuggling, including those convicted under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and foreigners or members of organized criminal gangs.” By Order and in the Name of the Lt.
