No. A-51012/03/2020-Ad.—In the wake of disclosures of Zhenhua Data Information Technology
Company (Shenzen-based) creating a database known as ‘The Overseas Key Information Database
(OKIDB)’ of persons/entities living outside China, including 10,000 Indians; an Expert Committee under
Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Rajesh Pant, National Cyber Security Coordinator (NCSC) has been constituted to study
the Company’s activities in detail, evaluate security implications and coordinate India’s response. The
Committee will also suggest indigenous solutions for data sovereignty and localization.
2. The Committee will submit its recommendations within 30 days for action by different
stakeholders.
