These visits took place on 08 August, 09 September, and 13 September, and were aimed at familiarizing naval officers and chief officers—particularly those preparing for deployment— with the system’s real-time tracking capabilities and data flow mechanisms. India has made significant contributions to regional SAR efforts through its three Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres (MRCCs) in Mumbai, Chennai, and Port Blair, supported by a network of Maritime Rescue Sub-Centres (MRSCs).
