vide Merchant shipping Notice No. 02 oi 2019 (F.No. cR/StD-cDAC (1)/ia(M) dated
09.04.2019).

collection of data and issuance of slD is presenfly being done at Government shipping
ffices, Mumbai, Kolkata & chennai. lt has also been proposed to extend this facility to MMDs
and data collection centers are being setup in 6 MMDS at Noida, Goa, New Mangalore, Kochi,
Vizag & Kandla to function w.e.f. 01.08.2019.

At the time of rolling out of SlD, the facility to book a slot at a data collection center
chosen by seafarer was maximum 20 slots per day in all 3 data collection centers, which has
further been enhanced to 150, 100 & 100 slots per day at Govemment shipping offices
Mumbai, Kolkata & Chennai respectively. lt has been observed that these slots are not being
fully utilized by the seafarers. The seafarers are requested to fully utilize all the available slots
for the purpose of data collection. All shipping companies & seafarer unions are also requested
to disseminate the said information amongst seafarers.

The slots for the new data collection centers at 6 MMDs i.e., Noida, Goa, New
Mangalore, Kochi, Vizag & Kandla will be available for booking trom 22.07.2019 for data
collection from 01.08.2019 onwards. Further, the Maritime Training lnstitutes (MTls) are also
requested to check the availability of unutilized slots per day in co-ordination with the
jurisdictional Govt. Shipping Offices/Mercantile Marine Departments so that the unutilized slots
available for data collection can be properly utilized for respective trainees in the MTls.
