No. SRO C-18/2016. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of Section 124, read with Sub Section (1 )(a) of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) the Board of Trustees, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust hereby approves the revised manner of recruitment (Recruitment Rules) for Class III and IV posts under Regulation 5 of Tuticorin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2008 as set out in the Schedule annexed to this Notification. 2. The said Recruitment Rules shall come into effect from the date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. SCHEDULE (1) In the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Superintendent (General Administration) (Sl. No.5), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Head Clerk with five years regular service in the Port failing which Head Clerk with seven years regular service put together in the grades of Head Clerk and Senior Assistant failing both Head Clerk with ten years regular service put together in the grades of Head Clerk, Senior Assistant and Upper Division Clerk. (2) In the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Upper Division Clerk (General Administration) (Sl.No.8), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Lower Division Clerks with three years regular service in the grade in the Port. (3) in the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Supervisor (Traffic) (Sl.No.26), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Out Door Clerk/Tally Clerk with five years regular service in the grade in the Port. (7) In the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Auto Electrician (Mech & Electrical Engineering) (Sl. No.118), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Khalasi (Mechanical) / Cleaner / Khalasi (Electrical) in possession of I.T.I. Certificate in the trade of Electrician/ Wireman with three years regular service in the grade in the Port subject to passing the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. (8) In the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Senior Blacksmith Grade I (Mech & Electrical Engineering) (Sl.No.126), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Senior Blacksmith with five years regular service in the grade under the Scheme of Skilled Scales subject to passing the Trade Test prescribed and conducted by the Port, failing which Senior Blacksmith or Blacksmith with 10 years regular service put together in the grades of Blacksmith and Assistant Blacksmith in the Port subject to passing the Trade Test prescribed and conducted by the Port. (9) In the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Blacksmith (Mech & Electrical Engineering) (Sl. No. 127), the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Khalasi (Mechanical)/Cleaner in possession of I.T.I.Certificate in the Trade of Blacksmith with three years regular service in the grade in the Port subject to passing the Trade Test prescribed and conducted by the Port. (10) ln the said Schedule under Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Senior Electrician Grade I (Mech & Electrical Engineering) (Sl.No.129),the provisions under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following— Promotion: Senior Electrician with five years regular service in the grade under the Scheme of Skilled Scales subject to passing the Trade Test prescribed and conducted by the Port, failing which Senior Electrician with 10 years regular service put together in the grades of Senior Electrician and Electrician in the Port subject to passing the Trade Test prescirbed and conducted by the Port.
