No. SRO C-25/2017, is a notification regarding an amendment to the Tamil Nadu Mediation Rules, 2010 (R.O.C. No. 4711-A/2016/F1).
The High Court of Madras proposes the following amendment, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 122 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act V of 1908) and clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Section 89 of the said Code.
The existing sub rule (1)(b) of Rule 5 of the Tamil Nadu Mediation Rules, 2010 shall be substituted as follows: "(b) Legal practitioners with at least 10 years' standing at the Bar at the level of the Supreme Court or the High Court or the District Court of equivalent status."
