No. 907/2008/G2) No. SRO C-3/2009.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 229 of the Constitution of India and all other powers, the Honourable the Chief Justice, High Court, Madras is hereby pleased to issue the following rule for the fixation of Pay in respect of the members of the High Court Service (including office of the Official Assignee, High Court, Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai):— RULE Consequent on the recommendation of the Official Committee and the orders contained in G.O.Ms.No. 234, Finance (PC) Department, dated 1st June 2009 revising the scales of pay in the other services in the State, the Honourable the Chief Justice, with the prior approval of the Governor of Tamil Nadu contained in G.O.Ms.No. 593, Home (Courts V) Department, dated 28th July 2009, is pleased to revise and fix the scales of pay as specified in the annexure hereunder to the various posts in the Madras High Court Service (including office of the Official Assignee, High Court, Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai). The scales of pay specified in annexure will notionally take effect from 1st January 2006 with monetary benefit from 1st January 2007. The Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rule 2009 notified in G.O.Ms.No. 234, Finance (PC) Department, dated 1st June 2009 and amendments issued by the Government, subsequently in this regard shall be applicable to the members of the High Court Service (including office of the Official Assignee, High Court, Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai) in the matter of fixation of their pay. The provision regarding the matters like selection Grade/Special Grade, Special Pay and Special allowances for certain posts, Dearness Allowances, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowances and other allowances shall be as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No. 234, Finance (PC) Department, dated 1st June 2009 read with G.O.Ms.No. 593, Home (Courts V) Department, dated 28th July 2009 in respect of Officers and staff of the High Court Service (including office of the Official Assignee, High Court, Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai). These rules shall apply to the Officers and staff of the High Court Service (including office of the Official Assignee, High Court, Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai). The option as indicated in rule 7 of the Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009 shall be exercised within three months from the date of these rules.
