Whhereas, thhe said GGazette wwas madee availablle to thee public on 22.01.20020. Annd Whereaas no objeections annd suggesttionshave been receeived in thhis behalf inn the Goverrnment. Noow, therefoore in exerrcise of thhe powers conferredd by sub ssection (1)) of section 33 read witth section 8 of the Karnatakaa State Ciivil Servicees Act, 19978 (Karnataaka Act 144 of 1990) the Goveernment off Karnatakka herebyy makes tthe followingg rules. (1)2 RULES 1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Government Secretariat Services (Recruitment)(Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force from the date of theirpublication in the official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Schedule VI – In the Karnataka Government Secretariat Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2019, in Schedule VI, under the heading “OFFICE OF THE RESIDENT COMMISSIONER NEW DELHI”. (i) for serial number 6 and the entries relating thereto,the following shall be substituted,namely:- “6 Legal Officer 1 By Deputation of an officer not below the rank of an Under Secretary to Government from the Karnataka Government Secretariat Service or any of the State Civil Services possessing a degree in law. ’’ (ii) in serial number 8 in the category of posts of “Deputy Liaison Officer”for column (4) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted. “By Promotion from the cadre of Office Superintendent or Assistant Liaison Officer.” (iii) the category of posts of “Despatch Rider (Three Wheeler)” at serial number17 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; and (iv) in serial number 18, the category of post of “Despatch Rider (Two Wheeler)” in column (3) for the figure “1”, the figure “2” shall be substituted.
