No.SRO A-36/2017.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 180 of the
Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the
following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules,1988 :-
AMENDMENT.
In the said Rules, in rule 85, in sub-rule (2), for the first proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:-
“Provided that no expenditure under clauses (a), (b) or (c) shall exceed,—
(i) rupees sixty thousand in the case of a primary society;
(ii) rupees one lakh fifty thousand in the case of a central society; and
(iii) rupees three lakh in the case of an apex society:”.

No. SRO A-37/2017.—The Government of Tamil Nadu intend to amend the Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement)
Rules, 2011 and accordingly the draft of following amendment to said Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules,
2011, which it is proposed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 53 of
the Legal Metro!ogy Act 2009 (Central Act 1 of 2010) in consultation with Central Government, is hereby published as
required under sub-section (4) of the said Section 53 of the said Act for the information of public who are likely to be affected.
2. Notice is hereby given that the draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period
of fifteen days from the date of publication of the Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. Any objection
or suggestion, which may be received from any person with respect thereto before the aforesaid period of fifteen days will
be considered by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed to the Secretary to
Government, Labour and Employment Department, Chennai-600 009 through the Commissioner of Labour, Chennai-600 006
in duplicate.

No. SRO A-38/2017.—The following draft of amendments to the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 which it is
proposed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 112 of Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act LXIII of 1948)
is hereby published for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby as required by Section 115 of the said
Act.
2. Notice is hereby given that the draft amendments will be taken into consideration after the expiry of forty five days from the
date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette and that any objection or
suggestion, which may be received from any person with respect thereto, before expiry of the aforesaid period of expiry, will be
considered by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed in duplicate, to the Secretary
to Government, Labour and Employment Department, Secretariat, Fort St.George, Chennai-600 009, through the Director of

(2) in rule 56-B, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:-
"(2) The fee payable for the examination and testing of pressure plant or vessel or water sealed gas holder shall be as
follows:-
(i) `800/-(Rupees eight hundred only) per plant or vessel irrespective of its size or capacity, for the external examination;
(ii)`2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) per plant or vessel upto 4 kgf/sq.cm(g) for the Hydrostatic test;
(iii)`4000/- (Rupees four thousand only) per plant or vessel above 4 kgf/sq.cm(g) for the Hydrostatic test;
(iv)`2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) per plant or vessel irrespective of the size or capacity, for the internal
examination; and
(v) ` 8000/- (Rupees eight thousand only) per plant or vessel irrespective of the size or capacity, for the non-destructive
ultrasonic thickness gauging test.";
(3) in rule 67 -A, in clause (iv), in sub-clause (a), for the expression "` 100/- (Rupees hundred only)”, the expression
"` 200/- (Rupees two hundred only)” shall be substituted;
(4) in rule 86 -A, in sub-rule (b), for the expression "` 100/- (Rupees hunderd only)”, the expression "` 200/- (Rupees two
hundred only)“ shall be substituted ; and
(5) in rule 95 -A, in sub-rule (1-A), in clause (a), for the expression "` 100/- (Rupees hundred only)“, the expression
"` 200/- (rupees two hundred only)”, shall be substituted.
