Ms. No. 67, Legislative Assembly Secretariat, 24th May 2016.] No. SRO A-10/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of Article 187 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu after consultation with the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, hereby makes the following amendments to the Rules published with the Legislative Assembly Department Notification No. SRO A-335 of 1969, Published at Page 372 of Part-V of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 2nd July 1969, as subsequently amended. AMENDMENTS In the said Rules:— (1) in rule 3, for item (ii), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- “(ii) by recruitment by transfer from the category of Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Male) (or) any other equivalent Post in the Tamil Nadu Public Health Subordinate Service.”; (2) for rule 5, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “5. Qualifications:- (a) Age:- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post by direct recruitment, if he has completed or will complete the age of 30 years on the first day of July of the year in which the selection for appointment is made. (b) Other qualifications:- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post by any of the methods specified in rule 3, unless he possesses the following qualifications, namely:- (i) Must have passed Higher Secondary Course (HSC) with Biology or Botany and Zoology; (ii) Must have passed Tamil Language as a subject in Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) level; (iii) Must possess one year Multi-purpose Health Worker (Male) training course certificate or any other equivalent certificate course granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine conducted in the Government Training Centres or Institutions which are approved by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.” A.M.P.
