Ministry of Law and Justice Legislative Department Observes Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign with Swachhata Pledge

Posted On: 17 SEP 2026 5:18PM by PIB Delhi Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice took a Swachhata Pledge as part of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign from 17th September, 2026 to 2nd October, 2026. The pledge-taking ceremony was organized by the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice on 17th September, 2026 at Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi.

The Swachhata Pledge was administered by Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary, Legislative Department and Department of Legal Affairs in the august presence of Dr. Manoj Kumar, Ms. Akali V. Konghay, Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretaries and Legislative Counsels, officers/officials of the Legislative Department, including the Official Language Wing, Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan and outsourced employees of the Department.

All participants collectively took the oath, solemnly reaffirming their deep commitment to personal cleanliness, institutional hygiene, and community sanitation. This ceremony officially commenced the Legislative Department's active participation in the annual nationwide initiative, setting a benchmark for a series of planned shramdaan (voluntary labor) drives and institutional awareness activities scheduled throughout the campaign period.

Learned Secretary emphasized the vital importance of maintaining absolute cleanliness and hygiene both at the workplace as well as at home.
