Ministry of Law and Justice Legislative Department Organises E-Waste Workshop under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign.

Posted On: 24 SEP 2026 5:37PM by PIB Delhi As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign, the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice, successfully organised an E-Waste Workshop on 23rd September 2026 at the Conference Hall, Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi.

The session was led by Shri G. Panmei, Joint Secretary & Legislative Counsel, and witnessed active participation by senior officers and staff members. During the interactive workshop, participants gained valuable insights into the critical challenges and growing concerns associated with electronic waste (e- waste). The experts discussed the lifecycle of commonly used office electronic devices, such as computers, printers, cables and mobile phones, and highlighted the importance of preventing their disposal in regular waste bins.

Emphasising the core objectives of the workshop, Shri Panmei, called upon all officers and staff members to contribute towards environmental protection by ensuring the proper segregation, safe collection and recycling of obsolete electronic items through authorized channels.
