GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3937 TO BE ANSWERED ON: 12.08.2026 ELECTRONICS HARDWARE TECHNOLOGY PARK SCHEME 3937. SHRI BASTIPATI NAGARAJU: Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state: (a) the details of funds allocated, sanctioned and utilised under the Electronics Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) Scheme during each of the last three years, State-wise; (b) the details of the number of units established/approved under the EHTP Scheme, State- wise; (c) the details of the volume and value of electronic products manufactured by EHTP- supported units during each of the last three years, State-wise; (d) the details of the export value generated by EHTP units during each of the last three years, State-wise; (e) the details of the incentives and fiscal benefits offered to EHTP units including duty exemptions, tax benefits and other support measures; and (f) the details of measures taken by the Government to promote investment and expand participation under the EHTP Scheme? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) to (f): The EHTP Scheme is a 100% export-oriented scheme to promote exports of electronic hardware from India and STPI has been providing Statutory Services on a single- window Clearance System under EHTP Scheme. There is no fund allocation under the EHTP scheme. These include: ● Duty-free import/procurement of capital goods, raw materials, components, consumables, spares, and other permitted goods required for export production, subject to the provisions of the Foreign Trade Policy ● Permission for Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) sales in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Trade Policy ● Other operational and procedural benefits, including simplified customs procedures and single-window statutory clearances Following measures have been taken to promote investment and expand participation under the EHTP Scheme: ● Automation of Statutory Services: For providing seamless services to the EHTP units, STPI has automated statutory services through digital platform, its approval and final intimation to them. This has ensured speedy delivery of services to the satisfaction of the industry. ● Simplification of Import Procedures: The earlier practice of case-to-case import permissions has been replaced with blanket import permissions for the financial year concerned. ● Promotion and Industry Outreach: Regular stakeholder consultations, awareness programmes, industry interactions, and participation in trade events are organised to create awareness about the EHTP Scheme and encourage new investments. *******
