Ministry of Minority Affairs Ministry of Minority Affair’s Jiyo Parsi Scheme promotes Medical Assistance, Childcare, And Elderly Care प्रव तथ: 10 AUG 2026 2:08PM by PIB Delhi Since inception of Jiyo Parsi scheme in the year 2013, cumulative year-wise number of beneficiaries of Parsi Community provided with the financial assistance for treatment of infertility issues, childbearing, childbirth and Post Natal Care under the Medical components is 582. In addition, since the year 2018-19 cumulative year-wise number of beneficiaries provided with financial assistance under the Health of Community component of the scheme is 1055. The total expenditure incurred in the scheme since its inception is Rs. 37.43 Cr. Total 534 births have been reported in the community since the year 2014-15.
These births have brought a ray of hope among the Parsi Community towards stabilizing their declining population. The independent third-party evaluation studies also reported the scheme as successful in meeting its target.
c. The details of financial assistance provided under Medical and Health of Community components of
the Scheme for the last three financial years are as under:

(d) To increase awareness and outreach of the scheme among the Parsi community, publicity about the scheme is undertaken. Further, several workshops /interaction sessions, registration drives, bio- authentication drives are organized. Dissemination of information regarding implementation of the Jiyo Parsi Scheme is also carried out through major Parsi newspapers on monthly basis. Under this component of the scheme no direct financial assistance is provided to the beneficiaries.
