(MNRE). Launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), the campaign aims to institutionalise Swachhata and minimising pendency in Government offices. It is being implemented in the ministry along with its two CPSUs and three Autonomous Institutes.

The CPSUs include Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), and Autonomous Institutes include National Institute of Solar Energy

(NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) and Sardar Swarn Singh National Institute of Bio Energy (SSS-NIBE).

The Implementation Phase of Special Campaign 6 will commence from 2nd October, 2026, during which concerted efforts will be made to achieve the targets identified during the Preparatory Phase and further institutionalise Swachhata, efficient record management and timely disposal of pendency across the Ministry and its PSUs/Institutions.

During the preparatory phase of Special Campaign 6, the following activities are being undertaken by the Ministry and its PSUs/Institutions: i. Identification and disposal of pendency under various parameters.

ii. Review, categorisation and weeding out of physical records as per extant guidelines. iii. Conduct of cleanliness campaigns for maintaining cleanliness in the Ministry and its PSUs and Autonomous Institutes.

iv. Identification and segregation of e-waste as per MoEFCC guidelines for target setting during the Implementation Phase.

The Ministry and its PSUs/Institutions actively participated in Special Campaign 5 last year, with substantial progress recorded across key areas, including Public Grievances, Public Grievance Appeals, review of physical files and e-files, and cleanliness campaigns. During the Campaign, 725 targeted e-files were reviewed, while significant progress was also made in the disposal of references received from Members of Parliament. Further, 8 out of 9 targeted cleanliness campaigns were conducted, contributing to a cleaner and more productive workplace.The Preparatory Phase of #SpecialCampaign6 is underway at the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), along with its 2 PSUs—IREDA & SECI—and 3 Autonomous Institutes—NISE, NIWE & SSS-NIBE, as part of the Government’s continued efforts to institutionalise Swachhata and minimise pendency in Government offices. The Implementation Phase will be undertaken from 2nd October to 31st October 2026. This year, the campaign places special emphasis on the effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste, along with cleanliness drives and the timely disposal of pending matters.
