Selection by promotion:
* Column 4 b ,serial no 5 of Schedule Second relating to field of selection by promotion may be substituted to read as follows: A degree from a recognised university with National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate.

CORRIGENDUM
New Delhi, the 19th January, 2017
G.S.R. 55(E).—Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship notification GSR 5(E) dated 4th January,
2017 is hereby partially modified as under:-
I)(cid:32) In Rule 9(1) “clause 1 of Rule 2” may be substituted to read as “clause c of Rule 2”
II)(cid:32) Pay Matrix Level 13 indicated in First, Second Schedule and Third Schedule may be substituted to read
as Rs 1,18,500 to 2,14,100. Similarly Pay Matrix Level 12 indicated in Second Schedule may be
substituted to read as Rs. 78,800-2, 09,200 .Further Pay Matrix Level 11 as indicated in the Third
Schedule may be substituted to read as Rs.67, 700-2, 08,700.
III)(cid:32) in column 2, serial no.5 of Second Schedule , method of Direct recruitment may be substituted to read
as “50% by Direct recruitment through Indian Engineering Service Examination conducted by UPSC”.
IV)(cid:32) In column 4 of serial no.4 of Second Schedule relating to field of selection Essential Qualification for
deputation (ISTC) following is substituted:-
(i)A degree in the appropriate branch of engineering of a recognised university or institute ( the exact
discipline shall be indicated at the time of each recruitment );
ii)Twelve years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in production or maintenance or servicing or
teaching or training in a recognised technical institute including two years’ administrative experience.
V)(cid:32) Note 1 in column 4 of sl.no 2 of Second Schedule may be substituted to read as follows:-
Promotion to the post carrying Pay Matrix Level 13 may be made from the post carrying the Pay
Matrix Level 12 upon completion of 5 years of regular service in the grade, failing which the
promotion shall be made from upon completion of 10 years of regular service in the grade or Pay
Matrix Level 12 and 11 out of which 3 years of regular service should have been rendered in the Pay
Matrix Level 12 . This shall be applicable only to the incumbents who are occupying the regular
Service post(s) in the Pay Matrix Level 11 and 12 as on the date of notification of these Service rules.
VI)(cid:32) Column 4 (b) ,serial no 5 of Schedule Second relating to field of selection by promotion may be
substituted to read as follows:
A degree from a recognised university with National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship
Certificate.
