The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) commemorated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026’ campaign and the 150th anniversary of the National Song, ‘Vande Mataram’, on August 14, 2026. The event, held at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan (IPB) in New Delhi, was led by Secretary Shri Tanmay Kumar and involved a mass singing of the National Song by Ministry officials.
Following the ceremony, the Secretary led a tree plantation drive to reinforce the Ministry’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation. These activities are being replicated across all offices under the Ministry’s administrative control nationwide. The Government of India has designated the period from August 9th to 17th, 2026, for the countrywide celebration of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in conjunction with the milestone anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’.
Additionally, the Ministry is promoting digital participation by encouraging staff to upload a ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ on the official campaign portal.

As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign and the commemoration of 150 years of the National Song
‘Vande Mataram’, officers and officials of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate
Change, led by Secretary, Shri Tanmay Kumar, today participated in a mass singing of the National Song
at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan (IPB), New Delhi.
The mass singing was followed by a tree plantation activity led by the Secretary, reaffirming the
Ministry’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development. Offices under the
administrative control of the Ministry across the country are actively participating in the Har Ghar Tiranga
2026 campaign and collective singing of the National Song, besides carrying out plantation drives. Also,
the Ministry is encouraging officers and employees to upload ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ on the Har Ghar
Tiranga Portal (www.harghartiranga.com).The spirit of our National Song #VandeMataram echoed through Indira
Paryavaran Bhawan!
