NOTIFICATION The following Notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, No. S.O.361(E), dt. 1-3-2012 is republished:- S.O.361(E):- Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of Section 3 of Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government has declared the “Students Islamic Movement of India(SIMI)” as an unlawful association vide notification number S.O.224(E), dated the 3rd February,2012, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section(ii) of the same date. Now, therefore, in exercise in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 42 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government hereby directs that all the powers which are exercisable by it under Section 7 and 8 of the said Act, shall be exercised also by the State and Union territory Administrations in relation to the above said unlawful association.
