Read the following:- Notification No. S.O.362(E) Dated: the 1st March, 2012 of Govt., of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary Part.II, Dt. 1-3-2012. -ooo- ORDER:- Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of Section 3 of Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government has declared the “Students Islamic Movement of India(SIMI)” as an unlawful association vide notification number S.O.224(E), dated the 3rd February,2012. 2. And whereas the Central Government have constituted the “Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Tribunal, consisting of Justice V.K.Shali, Judge of the High Court of New Delhi for the purpose of adjudicating whether or not there is sufficient cause for declaring the above association as unlawful association. 3. And whereas under section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh General Clauses Act 1891, the State Government is empowered to publish any order and notification in the Official Gazette; 4. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1891, the Government hereby republishes the notification issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, vide reference read above, in an Extra-Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette Part-II, dated:22-03-2012 for favour of information to the general public. NOTIFICATION The following Notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India New Delhi, No. S.O.362(E), dated the 1st March, 2012 is republished:- S.O.362(E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government hereby constitutes the “Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Tribunal consisting of Justice V.K.Shali, Judge of P.T.O.the High Court of Delhi, for the purpose of adjudicating whether or not there is sufficient cause for declaring the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as unlawful association.
