Whereas, in the reference first read above, the Director
General, Anti-Corruption Bureau has informed that Thotu
Ganganna, Mandal Revenue Officer, Peda Cherlopalli Mandal,
Prakasam District was trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau
Officials on 20.11.2004, when he demanded and accepted a
bribe amount of Rs.2,000/- from the complainant Sri P.Krishna
Reddy for doing official favour of not sending a report against
the complainant’s FP shop. The D.G, A.C.B., has recommended
for prosecution of the A.O., in a Court of Law. Government
have issued orders for sanction of prosecution of the A.O. in the
reference 2nd read above.
And whereas, in the reference 3rd read above, the D.G.,
A.C.B., Hyderabad has forwarded a copy of the judgment
dated:22.10.2011 of the Hon’ble Court of the Special Judge for
SPE & ACB Cases, Nellore delivered on 22.10.2011 in
C.C.No.10/2006. Wherein, the Hon’ble Special Judge for SPE &
ACB Cases, Nellore found Thotu Ganganna, Mandal Revenue
Officer, Peda Cherlopalli Mandal, Prakasam District guilty of
charge under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988,
convicted and

sentenced him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years
and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees five thousand only) in
default, Simple Imprisonment for 3 months and further found
guilty of a charge under Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of
Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, convicted and sentenced
him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years and to pay
a fine of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only), in default,
Simple Imprisonment for 3 months under Section 248 (2)
Cr.P.C.
And whereas, it is considered that the conduct of the said
Thotu Ganganna, Mandal Revenue Officer, Peda Cherlopalli
Mandal, Prakasam District, which has led to his conviction, is
such as to render his further retention in the public service
undesirable.
And whereas, the Government of Andhra Pradesh have
examined the matter in the light of the above judgment and in
terms of G.O.Ms.No.2, General Administration (Service-C)
Dept., dt.04-01-1999 read-with G.O.Ms.No.240, General
Administration Department, Dated: 14-08-2003 and decided to
impose a major penalty of dismissal from the Government
service on Thotu Ganganna, Mandal Revenue Officer, Peda
Cherlopalli Mandal, Prakasam District as the A.O. is found guilty
for the offences under Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of
Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and convicted and
sentenced.
Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred under
Rule-9(x) read-with sub-rule (i) of Rule 25 of the Andhra
Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules,
1991 and in terms of G.O.Ms.No.2 General Administration
(Services) Department, dt.04.04.1999, read with G.O.
Ms.No.240, General Administration Dept., dt.14.08.2003 the
Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby dismiss Thotu
Ganganna, Mandal Revenue Officer, Peda Cherlopalli Mandal,
Prakasam District from Government service with immediate
effect.

The following Notification shall be published in the
extraordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule-9(x) read-
with sub-rule (i) of Rule 25 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Services
(Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 and
G.O.Ms.No.2 General Administration (Services) Department,
dt.04.04.1999, read-with G.O.Ms.No.240, General
Administration Dept., dt.14.08.2003 the Government of Andhra
Pradesh hereby dismiss Thotu Ganganna, Mandal Revenue
Officer, Peda Cherlopalli Mandal, Prakasam District with
immediate effect.
The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Andhra
Pradesh Hyderabad shall take necessary further action in the
matter accordingly.

The Commissioner, Printing, Stationery and Stores purchase,
Chanchalguda Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad (With a request to
publish the notification in the official Gazette and furnish 25
copies of the same to the Govt. for record)
The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Hyderabad
The Collector & District Magistrate, Prakasam District.
Sri Thotu Ganganna, Mandal Revenue Officer, Peda Cherlopalli
Mandal, Prakasam District through the Collector & District
Magistrate, Prakasam District with a request to serve the
dismissal order, obtain and furnish the dated
acknowledgement of the individual to the Govt., for taking
further action in the matter.
