Amendment—Notification—Issued.

Read the following:-
1. G.O. Ms. No.269, HM&FW (K2) Department, Dt.30.11.2009
2. Regulations of Indian Nursing Council for Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) Course.

ORDER:
In the reference first read above constituted the rules relating to the admission of
students into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) course and accordingly issued notification.
The eligibility criteria for admission into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) course under rule 4
(iv) stated as follows:-
“ Rule-4 (ii): Educational Qualification:
The minimum education qualification for admission into the Post-Basic
B.Sc., (Nursing) course will be a pass in Intermediate Examination with
Biological (OR) Physical Sciences and in GNM Course”.
“4.(iv) Experience: Should have completed a minimum of 2 years as
staff nurse after obtaining technical qualification”.
2. In the reference third read above the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health
Sciences has informed that the Secretary, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, has
informed strictly to follow the syllabus and regulations as prescribed by the Indian
Nursing Council and stated that the admission criteria for Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)
Course is 10+2 & GNM.
3. In the reference fourth read above issued Amendment to the A.P. Colleges of
Nursing (Admission into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) 2 years duration) Rules, 2009 and
accordingly issued notification in the G.O. first read above as follows:-
“ Rule-4 (ii): Educational Qualification:
The minimum education qualification for admission into the Post-Basic
B.Sc., (Nursing) course will be a pass in Intermediate (OR) a pass in 10+2
qualification (AND) a pass in GNM Course”.
4. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to follow the
admission criteria to the Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) course, as per the Indian Nursing
Council regulations, and accordingly Amend the A.P. Colleges of Nursing (Admission
into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) 2 years duration) Rules, 2009 issued in the G.O. 1st
read above, for deletion of the experience of 2 years minimum service as staff nurse
after obtaining technical qualification for admission into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)
course.

5. Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh
Gazette:
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 99 of the Andhra Pradesh
Education Act, 1982 (Act 1 of 1982) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, hereby makes
the following amendment to the A.P. Colleges of Nursing (Admission into Post Basic
(B.Sc. (Nursing) 2 years duration) Rules, 2009 issued in the G.O. Ms. No.269, HM&FW
(K2) Department, dt.30.11.2009.
AMENDMENT
In the said rules, for Rule-4 (iv) the following shall be deleted:
“4.(iv) Experience: Should have completed a minimum of
2 years as staff nurse after obtaining technical qualification”.
