ORDER:
The Commissioner of Sericulture, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, vide letter read
above, has informed that as instructed by the District Collector, Srikakulam, the Tahsildar,
Srikakulam requested the Assistant Director of Sericulture, Srikakulam to handover the land
having Government Grainage Building admeasuring 342.22 Sq. yards at Srikakulam, for
establishment of Orphanage Home sponsoring by the Indian Red Cross Society, Srikakulam.
The Grainage building was sanctioned under DPAP Scheme and established during 1980-81
and the unit was closed on 20-12-1992 due to establishment of F1 Grainage at Vizianagaram
for North Coastal Region. The Executive Engineer, Srikakulam has inspected the building and
advised to vacate immediately as the building is in dilapidated condition as the cracks were
developed in all sides of walls. The Commissioner of Sericulture, Hyderabad, has therefore,
requested the Government to issue necessary directions to hand over the land to the
Tahsildar, Srikakulam, for establishment of Orphanage Home sponsoring by the Indian Red
Cross Society, Srikakulam.
2. Government after careful consideration, hereby accord permission to the
Commissioner of Sericulture, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, for handing over the land having
Government Grainage building admeasuring 342.22 Sq. yards at Srikakulam to the Tahsildar,
Srikakulam for establishment of Orphanage Home sponsoring by the Indian Red Cross
Society, Srikakulam.
3. The Commissioner of Sericulture, Hyderabad, is requested to take further necessary
action in the matter.
