O R D E R:
It was brought to the notice of Government by the appropriate authority that
Sri S.V. Sreenivasan, Special Grade Secretary, A.M.C., Gudur, Nellore District was alleged
in acquisition of disproportionate assets to the known sources of legal income. Government
after examining the matter, in the reference 1st read above, accorded sanction to the
Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad to prosecute Sri S.V. Sreenivasan,
Special Grade Secretary, A.M.C., Gudur, Nellore District in a Court of Law, for the offences
punishable under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1) (e) of the Prevention of Corruption
Act, 1988 and for any other cognate offences punishable and for other provisions of law for
the time being in force in respect of aforesaid acts and for taking cognizance of the said
offences by a Court of Competent Jurisdiction.
2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Hon’ble Special Judge for SPE & A.C.B. Cases,
Nellore has pronounced the judgment on 23-12-2011 in C.C.No.15 of 2007, that the
Accused Sri S.V. Sreenivasan, Special Grade Secretary(now retired), A.M.C., Gudur, Nellore
District is found guilty of a charge under Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(e) of Prevention of
Corruption Act, 1988, convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for (3)
three years, and further sentenced to pay a fine of Rs.3,00,000/-(Rupees Three lakhs only),
in default, to undergo (6) six months simple imprisonment, under Section 248(2) Cr.P.C.
3. Government, after careful examination of the judgment of Hon’ble Special Judge for
SPE & ACB Cases, Nellore, dt.23-12-2011 in C.C.No.15 of 2007, have decided to impose a
penalty of withholding of pension and gratuity in full permanently against Sri S.V.
Sreenivasan, Special Grade Secretary(Retired), A.M.C., Gudur, Nellore District under Rule
9(1) of A.P.Revised Pension Rules, 1980, in the disproportionate assets case.
4. As such, Government hereby order to impose a penalty of withholding of pension and
gratuity in full permanently against Sri S.V. Sreenivasan, Special Grade Secretary(Retired),
A.M.C., Gudur, Nellore District under Rule 9(1) of A.P.Revised Pension Rules, 1980, in the
disproportionate assets case.
5. The Commissioner and Director of Agricultural Marketing, Hyderabad shall take
necessary action in the matter, accordingly.
