Read the following:- 1. From the Superintendent, KGH, Visakhapatnam, Letter Rc. No.Spl/Supdt/G1/2011, Dt.5.8.2011. 2. From the DME, AP Letter No.Spl/Bldgs/DME/2012, Dt.13.2.2012. 3. From the DME (Academic), AP, Letter Rc. No.17952/DME-Acad/2012, Dt.24.3.2012. *** O R D E R :- In the reference second and third read above, the Director of Medical Education, A.P has stated that it was planned to construct a separate block for all the 8 superspeciality departments for King George Hospital / Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam according to the guidelines by the MCI. The Govt. of A.P. has sanctioned an amount of Rs.9.44 crores vide GORt No.560, HM&FW (N2) Dept., dt.27.7.2005. To accommodate the 8 Superspeciality Departments it was originally planned to construct 1.6 lakh sft building, but only 90,000 sft building was constructed due to escalation of cost of construction. The building was handed over to KGH in 2008, not put into use for want of staff and equipment. He has therefore submitted proposals for an estimated amount of Rs.35,30,34,833 for operationalisation of the existing Superspeciality Block of King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam. 2. Government after careful examination of the matter hereby accord administrative sanction for Rs.30.00 crores ( Rupees thirty crores only) for operationalisation of Super Speciality block and improvement of infrastructure in King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam. 3. The Director of Medical Education, AP / MD, APMSIDC, Hyderabad shall take necessary further action accordingly by following the due procedure. 4.
