O R D E R:
In the reference first read above, the Director General, Anti-Corruption
Bureau has stated that the number of cases registered under different heads
have increased substantially. In order to improve the quality of investigation of
cases, there is an imperative need to have one Additional Superintendent Police
cadre officer for over all supervision of the work of ranges of each region.
However, at present, the Bureau is not having any sanctioned strength of
Additional Superintendent of Police posts. The sanctioned strength of Sub-
Inspector of Police in the Bureau is sixteen (16). The Inspectors and the
Deputy Superintendent of Police are the investigating officers in the Bureau,
whereas, the post of Sub-Inspector is not an investigating officer. Therefore,
the Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau has proposed to create three (3)
posts of Additional Superintendent of Police, in lieu of surrender of five (5)
posts of Sub-Inspector of Police in Anti Corruption Bureau.
2. The General Administration (Special.C) Department has therefore
requested to create three (3) posts of Additional Superintendent of Police in
Anti-corruption Bureau, in lieu of surrender of five (5) posts of Sub-Inspector of
Police.
3. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord
sanction for creation of three (3) posts of Additional Superintendent of Police in
the scale of Rs. 27000 – 51760 in lieu of surrender of five (5) posts of Sub
Inspector of Police in Anti-Corruption Bureau.
4. The General Administration (Spl.C) Department shall take further
necessary action in the matter.
