Need to sanction adequate allocation of Houses under PMAY-G 2.0 to Telangana.-laid DR. MALLU RAVI (NAGARKURNOOL): I would like to draw the urgent attention of the Government to the need for adequate and time-bound allocation of rural houses to Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana?Gramin (PMAY-G) 2.0. Telangana did not participate in the earlier phase of PMAY-G and, as per the assessment of the State Government, allocation under the present phase is still awaited. Pursuant to the requirements of the Ministry of Rural Development, the survey, super-check and deletion process covering 11.56 lakh houses has been completed through the Awaas Plus application. The State Government has assessed the requirement at approximately 11.65 lakh eligible houses and has sought allocation of 11 lakh houses during the PMAY-G 2.0 project period. The pending allocation is affecting a large number of eligible houseless and kutcha-household families, particularly Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other vulnerable sections in rural Telangana. I, therefore, urge the Union Government to expeditiously examine Telangana?s requirement and sanction an adequate allocation under PMAY-G 2.0, ensuring that eligible rural families receive housing assistance without further delay.
