**Summary:**
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries, through the NIFTEM-Kundli's NIFTEM Startup Incubation Programme (NSIP4), has provided financial assistance exceeding 85 lakh rupees to eight startups across eight states. Tamil Nadu received the highest individual financial support, with a startup in Chennai receiving 13 lakh rupees. Other states with supported startups include Odisha (12 lakh rupees), Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Karnataka (each receiving 10 lakh rupees). The government announced the establishment of a NIFTEM in Bihar in the Union Budget 2025-26. Data on State/UT-wise admitted students in NIFTEMK during the academic year 2024-25 is provided in the annexure. The information was released by the Press Information Bureau (PIB Delhi) on August 1, 2025, and attributed to a written reply in Rajya Sabha by the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Shri Ravneet Singh. A total of 316 students were admitted into NIFTEMK in the academic year 2024-25 with 172 in B.Tech, 82 in M.Tech, 16 in MBA and 26 in PHD programmes.

NIFTEM-Kundli supported a total of eight (8) start-ups under NIFTEM Start-up Incubation Programme
(NSIP-4). The State/UT-wise details of the start-ups provided financial assistance, mentoring support etc., is

At present, there is no proposal under consideration to set up regional campuses or ancillary centers of
NIFTEM in various States/Union Territories. However, establishment of NIFTEM in Bihar state has been
announced by the government in Budget Speech 2025-26.
