This amendment modifies the Notaries Rules, 1956, by adjusting the figures in column 2 of the Schedule for multiple states and union territories, relating to Notaries Act, 1952. The primary purpose of these amendments appears to be to revise the number of notaries for each region.. Key findings include specific adjustments to notary figures across sixteen states and union territories and the addition of Ladakh to the schedule. **2. Specifically, the amendment replaces existing figures with new figures in column 2 relating to Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Chattisgarh, Telangana, and Puducherry.
