The CoC examination registration, eligibility assessment and seat booking modules are in transition to a new enhanced system. The roadmap with the details will be notified on the DG Shipping website for the benefit of all the candidates by March 25, 2026. The seat booking schedule for the month of April 2026 shall be accordingly enabled and the details shall be communicated on the DG Shipping website by the last week of March 2026 2. Candidates appearing for written examination at MMD Exam Centre Noida may be guided by the NT/ENG Examination Notice issued by the DG Shipping on 12th March 2025 which is available on the DG Shipping website at https://www.dgshipping.gov.in/writereaddata/News/202503130716043862309EXA MREFORMNOTICEforpilotproject12032025.pdf3. The maximum number of candidates that can be accommodated at each examination centre for written examinations is given below: MMD exam centre Total capacity for MEO & ETO grade written examination MMD, Mumbai 160 MMD Kolkata 150 MMD Chennai 140 MMD Noida 100 MMD Kochi 60 MMD Visakhapatnam 75 4. All written exam candidates are hereby informed to reach the examination centre at least 45 minutes before commencement of the examination. 5. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the examination is over. 6. The examinees should not carry any bags, phone, smartwatch or any such electronic device inside the exam hall. 7. All the candidates will have to maintain discipline inside the examination centre, protect furniture and the IT infrastructure. In case an examinee is found indulging in unfair means during the exam, action shall be taken as per Rule 72 of the MS(STCW) Rules, 2014. This is issued with the approval of the Chief Examiner of Engineers.
