As per the Gazette of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Notification G.S.R. 843(E), dated November 13, 2025, the Central Government, exercising powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (22 of 2023), has appointed the following:
* The date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette as the date on which specific provisions of the Act come into force: sub-section (2) of section 1, section 2, sections 18 to 26, sections 35, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, and sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 44.
* One year from the date of publication of this gazette, the provisions of sub-section (9) of section 6 and clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 27 of the said Act shall come into force.
* Eighteen months from the date of publication of this gazette, the provisions of sections 3 to 5, sub-sections (1) to (8) and (10) of section 6, sections 7 to 10, sections 11 to 17, section 27 except clause (d) of sub-section (1) of the said section, sections 28 to 34, 36, 37 and sub-section (2) of section 44 of the said Act shall come into force.

धारा 27 की उपधारा (1) के खडं (घ) के प्रावधाि लाग ूहोंगे।
(ग) इस रािपत्र के प्रकािि की जतजि से अठारह महीि,े जिस पर धारा 3 से 5, धारा 6 की उपधारा (1) से (8)
और (10), धारा 7 स े 10, धारा 11 से 17, धारा 27 (उपयिया धारा की उपधारा (1) के खडं (घ) को छोड़कर), धारा 28

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th November, 2025
G.S.R. 843(E).–––In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Digital

(a) the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette as the date on which the provisions of

sections (1) and (3) of section 44 of the said Act shall come into force;
