NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th August, 2025
S.O. 3940(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of Section 41 of the
Emigration Act, 1983 (31 of 1983), the Central Government, with a view to protect and safeguard the
interests of citizens of India going to Iran, hereby withdraws the exemption granted to them from the
operation of Section 22 of the said Act vide notification S.O. 2161(E) dated 28.12.2006.
