F. No. 36 (146)/Census/Div-Comm/2025/978—In continuation of notification no. S.O. 99(E) of Govt. of India,
Ministry of Home Affairs (Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India), New Delhi
dated 7th January, 2026 and notification no. 36(146)/Census/Div.Comm./2025/958 dated 29/01/2026 of the Government
National Capital Territory of Delhi and in pursuance of the provision contained in sub-rule (iii) of Rule 8 of Census Rule,
1990 read with the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs' Notification No. 2/1/60-Judl.Il dated the 20 April, 1960,
the Lieutenant Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to notify that the Houselisting Operations of
the Census of India 2027 shall take place from 16th May, 2026 to 14th June, 2026 and the option of self-enumeration shall
be operational from 1st May, 2026 to 15th May, 2026 in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) area. Further, the
Houselisting Operations of the Census of India 2027 in area falling under New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and
Delhi Cantonment Board shall take place from 16th April, 2026 to 15th May, 2026 and the option of self-enumeration
shall be operational from 1st April, 2026 to 15th April, 2026.
