Standards and Conformity Assessment: - In respect of the Telecommunication Equipment listed in the second column of the Schedule annexed to this notification, the applicable standards shall be the Essential Requirements notified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, as specified in the third column of the said schedule; 2. The standards specified in the Schedule shall apply after expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date of this notification. 3. With effect from the date specified in paragraph 2, no person shall import, sell, distribute or use the Telecommunication Equipment specified in Schedule, except in accordance with the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment measures as specified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre.
