S.O. 5733(E).— In supersession of this Ministry’s Notification No Q/XMM/551/02/2025 dated 16th May
2025 published in the Gazette of India vide S.O. 814 on 24th May 2025 and in pursuance of clause (b) of sub section
(3) of section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (21 of 2000) read with clause (d) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of
the Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Central
Government hereby authorizes and designates :
(a) Joint Secretary (XP), External Publicity & Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, A-Wing,
Shastri Bhawan, Dr Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi 110001 as the Designated Officer for the purpose of
issuing take down notice to the intermediaries in respect to unlawful information pertaining to Ministry of
External Affairs.
