NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st September, 2025 S.O. 3988(E).— In pursuance of clause (r) of section 2 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 (13 of 2025), the Central Government hereby authorises the Superintendent of Police of each District of the States or the Union territories or the Deputy Commissioner of Police as specified by the State Government or the Union territory Administration, as the case may be, to perform the functions of the Registration Officer under the said Act, within the jurisdiction of the District concerned, who shall also be designated as the Foreigners Registration Officer.
