Dated November 21, 2017, the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, announces that all fees for licenses/SVCP/TC/SPL/amendments must be paid online through the "Bharat Kosh" website (https://bharatkosh.gov.in). Payments via Demand Draft are no longer accepted. This policy is effective immediately.
The payment process involves:
1. Accessing the Non-Tax Receipt Portal (NTRP) through Bharat Kosh.
2. Selecting "Non-Registered Users" and the "Depositor Category".
3. Searching for the "Purpose" and selecting "Ministry [Shipping]".
4. Specifying "Other receipts payable to PAO Shipping Mumbai" as the Purpose and "Payment to DG Shipping Mumbai" as the Payment type.
5. Entering the Amount.
6. Providing Remarks, including: Name of Vessel, Name of Charterer, Online application No. or application date, Lay-can, and Fee for (Ship's license, chartering permission or SPL).
