On January 12, 2026, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted an Open Market Operation (OMO) to purchase Government of India Securities. The aggregate notified amount was ₹50,000 crore. The securities included: 7.04% GS 2029, 6.79% GS 2031, 8.32% GS 2032, 7.10% GS 2034, 6.64% GS 2035, 7.18% GS 2037, and 7.30% GS 2053. The total face value amount accepted by RBI was 9,123 crore, 9,637 crore, 3,054 crore, 1,255 crore, 14,862 crore, 10,069 crore, and 2,000 crore for each respective security. The cut-off yield percentages were 6.0772, 6.5981, 6.6715, 6.6617, 6.7071, 6.9501, and 7.3454, respectively, and the cut-off prices were ₹102.90, ₹100.93, ₹108.63, ₹102.73, ₹99.53, ₹101.80, and ₹99.46.
